C1R (Channel 1 Releasing) is an interesting beast. It is a place where you can find out all about what C1 and Chi Chi LaRue, the boss I guess, is up to. You will find blogs, news items, a store, a video on demand area, model index and movies; all about or from the studio. And if you are not yet a fan of this company you will be by the time you've looked around. As a member you will get five full new DVDs to stream each week, and access to a live show, its schedule and archives.

This isn't a conventional adult membership site. There is a lot here that is publicity and available for free, to anyone. But then there is also a lot that's for members only so you will feel special and privileged when you join. You'll want to know what content you get for your money so here's a rough idea for you:

Each week there are those five new movies to stream. These are found by using the explore function in the main menu. Select one and it will start to stream in Flash, after it has somehow detected your bandwidth. You can either view a trailer to see if it's for you or just dash on in to the opening scene. I tried a couple of these movies and I think the bandwidth detection fairy was having a day off: I was viewing a very low quality stream that was pixilated and I'm on a reasonably high connection. I guess I could have contacted the help and support department about this. But actually Id seen this movie before and I knew that the quality of the productions here is good, so it was a temporary glitch really. And one that is solvable. If you think you're on the wrong speed, then check the viewer and select a higher one. Ping! Suddenly everything was in focus, and it still streamed quickly. You can jump through the scenes too and there's a little marker on the slider to show you when a scene ends and the next one starts.

You'll find that the movies feature hot guys. And you're able to see all 5,000 plus them in the model index if you don't believe me. Hot guys and hot sex, bareback and fetish, younger guys and older. It's a nice mix and the really fun thing is that you aren't going to know what you're gong to get next week.

But you will know who is appearing at Live and Raw, your exclusive live show site. There is a schedule which gets updated when something is about to happen, and there are archives of over 1,000 previous shows too. Over at Dirk Yates Live, another hot video site that's included in your membership, you can see what Dirk and his dick hungry team have been making. There is page after page of titles here with a heavy leaning towards military and hunk sex, though I did notice that these scenes were for rent or to buy though at a discounted price. The same goes for the Store content and the VOD theatre of course. So there is this little concern and confusion about what you actually get for your fee. Five movies a week it seems unless I've missed something, in which case, apologies, and don't forget these movies are often exclusive and always full length.

Some of the pages took a while to load but not too long. Other than that the site is really well designed. Well, it's a top studio so it's going to be isn't it? They've got money here and they have spent a good amount of it on making your viewing experience pleasurable.

Not only is the design flashy and fun, with ever-changing images and pages that melt into each other, but the layout makes navigation easy. Start with the Explore function to orientate yourself and here you will see everything on offer: The Store with movies, toys and books all easy to browse and buy: VOD with new releases regularly; the Premium Members area (that's you) with Dirks site, the cam site and those five movies per week; Models where you will see over 5,000 hot guys with pics and links to their videos; Chi Chi LaRue with her blogs, news, interviews and other neat extras; then two more blogs and links to customer services etc. The Explore function is a really handy tool and one that many other big sites could be inspired by.

What you should do is take time to click around and see what's on every page, as there is a load of things to see here. Check the bottom of pages for index numbers, or more or view all links to make sure you don't miss anything. And then be prepared to stay a long time, catch the live shows, and see the movies. You'll soon become a fan of this sizzling company.

Part advert site, part membership site, part live shows, part store, it's a lot of parts that make up a whole. A whole world of hot sex, hunky guys, horny scenes and plenty of interactivity. So it's hard to put this site in to any one niche, he has just about everything here from models galleries to full length movies, and from books to blogs. It's a place to come back to every week to check out the new flicks, the company news, the diaries, and to see when the next live show will be coming.
