Another hot site from Helix Studios who are known for their good quality movies that feature the younger end of the market. There are over 170 original and exclusive titles here and you’ll be hard pushed to know which one to view first.

Now here is a site I could get to like. Hot and original bareback movies and the tour looks the same as the members’ area so it’s transparent and makes me trust it already. You are straight in to the first of 18 pages when you sign in and there are 10 scenes per page, quick calculation and checking the last page and I found… 177 scenes in total.

I’m looking at the guys involved in a scene, and the fact that there’s another DVD quality one coming soon, and I’m wondering why everything looks so exclusive, and new and original. Then I notice that this is another site from Helix Studios and I feel all is right with the world. They only release good quality and highly charged erotica so I'm happy to sit back and browse.

I know, though, that I should check out the technical details of everything for you so I’m off to view a scene. I can choose to download or stream it and, starting with the stream, I find two qualities: a larger one where the screen is 640 x 480 and a slightly smaller version where it is 320 x 240. These are standard sizes for good and medium quality streams so I'm not worried. Except that I am required to enter my membership details to access the stream as the movies are restricted. Does this mean I won’t be able to watch them when I have downloaded them unless I am still a member? I hope not. But in the meantime the scene starts nice and quickly, the quality is great even in the smaller screen and at full size. The guys are hot, the action is sensual to start with and then gets harder and the whole thing is totally watchable and satisfying.

I can also download versions for my iPod (or I could if I had one) and these come in as Quicktime files that are the same dimensions as the WMV ones. There is also an option to download the entire scene as a Windows Media Player file. But, before I commit myself to that, I check the photo gallery to see if the action is going to unfold as I want it to. Here I find a set of screen caps that open in their own window at 654 x 480 px in size. They appear a little bit squashed as I can’t make their individual windows any bigger but they are reasonably clear and show me what to expect from the whole scene.

Most of the scenes seem to be in files that are around the 100 Mb mark so if you’re on a dial up connection you may have a long wait! Otherwise though you’ll be fine. The scenes are all fairly similar in content too – I notice two sexy guys in action with kissing, wanking, oral, anal and then the cum shots. That’s kind of standard to me and so don’t expect anything too heavy or fetishistic here. To check that assumption I am looking at various random pages. This one is all similar with smooth white younger guys in couple action and one three-way. This one is the same with nine duos and a three-way and nine indoor and one outdoor location. There is a four-way scene on page 15 with more smooth and youthful guys and another three-way and nine couples on page four.

But don’t read in to that that I don’t like what I saw. I did, I just wanted you to know what you will be getting,. And, I didn’t mention this before, the scenes I saw were indeed all bareback. So if you like to view rubber free, gay hard-core then you could do much worse than view this content.

As for everything else on the site: There are useful links to the software downloads at the bottom of the pages so don’t worry if you don’t have the necessary equipment to play the files, you can get them up once you are inside. There is a model index, the link is at the top of the page, and here you have the guys all listed for you with a nice photo and in alphabetical order, or by the latest model – you can change the order. There were 134 guys in the model index when I was there and clicking one will take you to a well ordered page that outlines all his performances with links over to the videos. You also get to discover his age and a few details about him which makes for a more personal approach. Looking around the index you will find that there are some Latino guys involved in the sex sessions too – I must have missed them on my random tour of the vids.

You will also notice a link to ‘DVD’s on the top menu. Here you can flick over to the shop and actually buy the full length DVDs from which the scenes are taken. The prices are reasonable and you get a 30% discount. There were 32 titles here and each one comes with a cover shot, descriptions, trailer and on-line viewing options. The scenes are listed too so if you want to you can view the content of the site via the DVD area, watching each DVD scene by scene. To the side of any of the main pages on the site you will see a list of what new releases are coming you way and what has recently been added.

There are also links to Hot Studs Hookups (currently being upgraded so check back) and to 8teenboy.com. My log in details worked here but then I’d been in the site recently to review it so I don’t know if you actually get to access it or whether this is just an advert. It didn’t mention anything about a bonus site on the join page at Hot Studs nor on the Help page so I can’t advise other than to suggest you try it and see.

Other than that the site is neatly laid out. There’s not a lot of explanation about how things work and no welcome or chat – apart from the 30% discount offer at the top of the main pages. You’re straight in to page one of the list and left to get on with it – though the Help page is of use at times. Getting around is simple, there are clear navigation buttons, the design is easy to view and there’s nothing getting in the way. It’s a smooth viewing experience and there were no technical problems.

If you’re into smooth and younger, 18 to 25 youths, fratboy types and hard-core, rubber free sex than this is a gay site to relish. The videos are super quality, the studio is tried and trusted, you can buy the hard copies with a discount or download and view (with restrictions).
